A basket from Erin Myrick cut the lead to two with 1:10 left and the Lady Longhorns failed to score on their next two possessions.Robertson's winning shot - her second field goal of the game - came after Raquel Christian missed a short jumper from the right side and a jump ball was called between Robertson and Bailey, with Tech retaining possession. Robertson got the ball at the top of the key and nailed the 3.Texas still had a chance, though. After calling time out, Tiffany Jackson brought the ball all the way up the court and drove to the basket but missed. Earnesia Williams got the rebound and missed the putback.Raven and Carla Cortijo scored 10 points to lead Texas (14-7, 3-4 Big 12).Myrick had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Patrice Edwards added 11 points to lead Tech (13-8, 4-3).The Lady Longhorns got up by nine points early in the second half and Tech failed to score a field goal until 13:23. But Tech used a 11-5 run ending with a bucket by Patrice Edwards to whittle the deficit to 34-31. However, Texas used a 9-4 run to go up 43-35 at the 5:52 mark.Foul trouble plagued Jackson and she played only 15 minutes. She got only two points - a season low - and two rebounds. She came into the game as the Big 12's second-leading scorer with 19.1 points per game. The win came despite the worst shooting this season for Tech. The Lady Raiders hit only 15 of 57 shots, or 26.3 percent, from the field. Their previous low came at Hawaii when they shot 27.7 percent.Myrick started strong inside for Tech, scoring the Lady Raiders' first eight points. Her defender, Jackson, picked two quick fouls and left for the half with just 5 minutes gone - no points or rebounds - and the Lady Longhorns down 8-6.Texas got quicker as a result and Tech just went cold. In the final 11:53 of the half, the Lady Raiders hit just two field goals - 3-pointers from Brooke Baughman and a buzzer beater from Jordan Murphree. For the half, Tech shot 19.4 percent on 6-of-31 from the field.Texas led 24-20 at the break.© 2007 The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
