It's been local every time. That's been part of the problem. They need to reach beyond the grips of setx.

I agree. That's what Woodville had to do this past year, and I feel like it paid off in a huge way this year. Nobody expected Woodville to be as good as they were this past year after going 2-8 the previous year.

well we don't want a local guy regardless. I'd hire somebody that's a winner & a winner on many level with different classifications. Big & smaller school. they might not be everybody's favorite but winning is winning. it takes a helluva coach to win in Hardin with these kids. always had. But maybe we'll some great coaches apply. Pay prolly best you can aspect from a small school. any rumors flying around? I heard it was gonna be open for 2-3 weeks. Looking to hire quick so can get offseason program going. I'd aspect most these coaches are gone too with a new staff coming in. Heard a few of them was already packin up.

Jeff Nations would be a great candidate for this position. He was the OC for Dayton a couple of years ago during all their deep runs. In my opinion should have been named HC at Dayton when the slot came open back then.

You need a coach that can make a kid that runs a 5.0 40 run a 4.5 40. He will also need to be able to put together a HD type schedule which will guarantee wins.

What a joke of a statement. No one cares about Pre-season Schedule and wins. The only thing that matters is district and beyond play. Regardless of the crap you normally post, Hardin was before and still are slotted in a tough district. Let me rephrase that, Its not that the District it's self was tough, but 1 or 2 pretty good power houses. I do believe Hardin has a lot of potential. They just need the right guy to get the program where it should be. Am i saying all of the sudden Hardin has the Kids to start winning state title after state title, no what i am saying is the right Guy can make the talent they have threating and other teams would say dang its going to be a fight to get this win.

If Urban Meyer takes the job they will have a chance to win one district game.

He's on the list, Shon. He'll have to take a coordinator position because Gruden is just a little more experienced at the A/D -Head Coach position. We'll evaluate them both equally though.

Where is Dayton's former OC Jeff Nations at now?

Who are the candidates for the Hardin Athletic Director Position?

There will be a two/three week application process. No names, currently.

I have heard that there are about 15-20 candidates that have applied so far.

I have no names, or any other information to provide at this time. Applications will be accepted thru Feb 1

It could possibly be shut down sooner, but that was the estimated date given to me on Monday, of this week.

They called me this afternoon. I told them they would have to show me the money to get me down there. They are determining if they can get rid of the Superintendent and combine his salary with the AD to get enough for me. We will see what happens. It is what it takes if they are serious about winning.
