I used to work at the Middleton Unit in Abilene, kinda surprised by this.

Someone asked on Facebook why they let the bus travel in those weather conditions. I thought nothing of it, but according to poster, they can and usually delay transports in dangerous conditions.

They always postponed chain movement until temps were consistently above freezing and txdot said it was ok while I was there, thats why this is surprising. Btw: im shocked there were survivors, no seatbelts on those buses.
