Do I believe that the Earth has come out of a freeze from 5000 years ago, then yes, the Earth has warmed.  Now, do I believe that the earth is now in a cooling phase, then the answer is yes.  Now, do I think it's headed back to the freeze phase it was 5000 years ago, well, not sure...

One would need to properly characterize the term global warming for me to offer an opinion.  Aren't you guilty of a broad generalization by suggesting/inferring that if one is a Republican, one has insufficient understanding/knowledge of science?

Thats why I am just another board poster trying to learn from one who is enlightened.  If the temperature is rising 1/10th of 1% per year, will we call that global warming or if it is rising 1% per year, will we call that global warming?  What if it rises for two years and then drops for two years, will we call that global warming?

It would seem to me that there is, to some degree, climate change.  At the same time, I do not believe it is as serious as many seem to portray it.

You're trying to catch me in a trap, when I actually agree with you. You see, as an enlightened individual, I agree with conservatives on certain issues while agreeing with liberals on other issues.

No, you are simply assuming that I am trying to catch you in a trap.  You make a number of broad assumptions/generalizations that are not correct ( as in Republicans aren't scientifically inclined)  The statement that you sometimes agree with conservatives and sometimes agree with liberals is your effort to convince the rest of this board that you are somehow, more objective, more broad minded, and, of course, more enlightened than the rest of us.  Essentially, you can't understand why everyone doesn't see things from your viewpoint because you believe your methods of arriving at your viewpoint are superior to the methods used by others - or, more importantly, your ASSUMPTION of the methods used by others.    In another post, you made mention of your perception that every President of this country was a socialist because they presided over tax hikes that theoretically were made to assist the poor.  Here is a shocker for you- you can be conservative and anti socialism and still want to help the poor.

It does not infuriate me.  That's the way you want it to be.  But it simply isn't.  Bullets13 is also a social liberal and mostly a fiscal conservative and he and I have expressed our differences for years without the need to tell/suggest to  one another that each is not smart enough or worthy enough to converse.

Let me understand you first:  It appears that you are on the side of global warming. There are two sides to this. Curious which are you:  The side that would say, yes, there is global warming and it's due to natural phenomena.  The other, would be the AlGore side that says it's man-made global warming.
