Market cycle-  The government can take some actions to try to shorten the duration and severity of a downturn but cant  eliminate it.  I am pretty confident, however, that raising taxes and increasing regulation during a recession does nothing to hasten the recovery from it.  Having said that, it was pretty convenient for the current President and his "associates": to suggest that the Bush Presidency caused the last decline.  He knew better but also knew that it would sell well and it did.

The economic inidicators are beginning to deteriorate again.  If this trend continues, will the brief and weak recovery still be credited to Obama and yet the latest, subsequent downturn somehow will again be the fault of Bush?

Whose fault will it be?

1) The current president
2) The previous president
3) Federal Reserve
4) Market cycle

Your answer choice will be recorded and compared to your posts in 2017. Thanks

I would have to agree with Colmesneilfan:  All Of The Above.
