KFDM COOP Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Good luck to Coach Lauve. I spoke with him tonight and he has accepted the 4A job at Elgin near Austin. Good luck to him and his family.
KFDM COOP Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 He's going to a school that is growing in the Austin area.

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Seems wierd, the $$$$$ must have been great to leave Jasper. Who are they looking at taking over the program now?
bfox Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Congrats to Coach Lauve, Wish you and your family the best of luck.
AHUDDLESTON Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 He did move up to a 4A program and the money is probably much better in the Austin area.
Hupernikomen Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Last season was a let down, but he had a very successful stint at Jasper. Best of luck to Coach Lauve.
duckbutter Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Can't say that i'm surprised he is leaving, good luck Coach.
Guest Wildcat 08 Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Certainly a growing area where he's going.
Bulldog92 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Jasper sure isn't. There were probably 1000 kids when I was there fron 88-91 and they're down at least 200 since then. It was getting bad before Rita and she certainly didn't help things. I'm sure a lot of people are wondering if that has something to do with it. Losing Moye didn't help, either.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I wonder how many ATHs did leave Jasper in all. ???

Bulldog92 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I graduated in 89 with a class of 217.Mine was projected to be around the same number in '92, but I left a year early. The lower classes then were bigger. It's just amazing how enrollment has dropped so much since then, but a lot has happened to make people consider leaving, too.
