That's more the popular choice though and this AD has already shown he will hire who he wants. He is a basketball guy though so I suspect it will be a decent hire. Coach searching is very trying when just the thought of someone bolting to grab a prestigious job at Texas causes other universities to lock down their coaches with substantial raises. With the right coach, Texas could be one of the top basketball schools in the country. Baylor has a ceiling in which Texas doesn't. And $$$$. One word: Waco It is a not so well kept secret Briles would have left if offered the job without interviewing. i have had this confirmed by some prominent Baylor alums. That being said, Scott Drew wouldn't be near the top of my list. He has had a lot of off the court issues in his program that would keep him from getting the Texas job anyway.
