ozens fastest@1906 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Maybe its just me but I think that the offenses in this area are more productive than the defenses... Which could become a problem once our teams go deeper into the playoffs and play outside of the area.
texans Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Points per game dayton was in the top 10 in points allowed in the state of texas for 4-a
dayton Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 And thats exactly what im talking about, here is the 22-4A district champion and they gave up almost as many points as they scored...Championships are won with great defenses not offenses[/quote/]points allowed means fewest points allowed. We scored way more than we gave up.In fact...I think it was our offense as much or more than our D that got us knocked out of the playoffs.Gave up about 10.5 a game and scored 31 a game
ozens fastest@1906 Posted February 2, 2007 Author Report Posted February 2, 2007 Dayton I stand corrected, I read the message wrong... Dayton does have a good defense and thats exactly what I mean when I said that defenses win championships... Daytons District Crown came on a blocked kick which makes my argument even stronger....DEFENSES WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS
dayton Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 definitely...but even still you are right. Watching defenses like La Marque etc. this area at this point is not up there with the elites. Once again though, I am glad we are in this district now.
