spoonbill Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Pretty sure they're going thru the motions. Kinda like the Rooney rule in the NFL. They are interviewing the 2 finalists I believe. Quote
spoonbill Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Shoulda put some air quotes in there somewhere. ;-) Quote

skipmeister Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 When does Babin come in and start offseason? We would highly doubt it that it would be Babin. Quote
WASTEOFTALENT Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Rumor has it the local real estate agencies are ordering extra FOR SALE signs to be prepared for the announcement of the new hire. One4All and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

warparty Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Buddy, we are use to it. Bad part is that the kids always suffer. TomEvans 1 Quote
jordibug15 Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 I know the kids want a certain coach but I don't know who. Quote
spoonbill Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 The coach most of the kids wanted was eliminated earlier in the week. They were all disappointed but hopefully will all pull together. There is talent in the group coming back next year if they all stay together. One4All, Mr. Buddy Garrity and AthleticSupporter - Jock 3 Quote
Scatright Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Babin is quickly developing the reputation of a job jumper. Is he the type of guy who plans to sit down at a school and create something, or is he always looking for the next best opportunity? I guess we will find out with Lumberton. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
spoonbill Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 I find it very interesting that justthefax ONLY comments on coaching hires/changes... Quote
justthefax Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 What else do you want to know? Isn't that what this is all about? Quote

The coaching profession is not different than any other. Everyone is looking for the next best opportunity. Nobody likes to settle with where they are now if there is an opportunity to get a better job or a pay raise / promotion. AthleticSupporter - Jock and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

I would not consider Babin a job jumper. He moved up in every situation. This Lumberton job would be his dream job. It's his home town. He lives in Lumberton. His wife works in Lumberton now. If he gets the job, I can see him staying for a long time if allowed. SteelerCzy, AthleticSupporter - Jock and WTB 3 Quote
