Cat22 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Of course being from Orangefield everyone knows who I'm gonna say. Jeff Granger was an All American in 1990. Most remember him as a great pitcher, but he also tied the national high school record for consecutive games with a hit.
Early 80s Guy Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Let's dig alittle deeper from the old school at LCM ..... Riding the arms of Mike Perkins and Rip Matthews under the supervision of the infamous Coach Vince Buffamonte.Coincidently, Rip Matthews has a nephew (freshman, BC) who is extremely talented. Been watching Matt Hicks play for years in little league & select ball and the boy is a natural. Fun to watch and coaches/teammates appreciate his dedication to the sport.
JSINGLE22 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 How About some of the great players like Frankie Tays or Robert Merritt, how bout Jeramy Green. Or Dan Fletcher.
rhino1877 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Man this list is LONG!!!! Imagine what kind of team they would be now. Imagine putting them together and playing some of the locals! Besides being older....wonder if they kept some of their abilities?
