AggiesAreWe
Lamar falls to 9-13, 3-5 in conf. With 8 games remaining, I'm predicting the Cards to go 3-5 in those games and finish at 12-18, 6-10 in conf., no postseason. So much for all the hype at the beginning of this season. Guest Nederland Bulldogs
It will take time though. This is only ROC's first year. But i just don't have alot of faith in Lamar Basketball. Kids go elsewhere.
STiger85
This is hart breaking. Lamar had 3 players out, its hard to make head way when that happens. I wish more local players would stay so Lamar would not have to go all over the country to get players that only play a few games and then get held out of games. Also it would get a larger crowd coming.
Tiger90
It very well may be Roc's first year but it is not like he is brand new to the situation. He was Tubb's right hand man and did the recruiting. These kids are basically his in roughly the same scheme Tubbs was running. It's not looking good. For years Lamar has always held their reputation and program goals on the late 70s and early 80s (and still do). All throughout the late 80s and 90s Lamar would track down and throw money at anyone connected to Tubbs (Newell) in an attempt to get back to those glory years. After years of begging and pleading the man himself returns. Only problem is the game has changed and those kids Lamar was once able to get are no where to be found. So now Lamar grabbed and used who they thought would fix the situation to no avail. Has Lamar finally hit the bottom with no answers? If the Northwestern States can get the kids and be able to compete why can't Lamar?
