bullets13 Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Well when you fly airplanes into buildings, expect Sharia Law to be the law of the land would you not expect people to make fun of your prophet? Since the extremists have shown a propensity to fly airplanes into buildings, it actually seems like a pretty dumb idea. But it's certainly her right to do so. Quote

jv_coach Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Reading comprehension... it's FUNdamental. The Islamic terrorist are following the teachings of Muhammad to the letter and the westbary guys are a cult. The leader claims to be Jesus and supported Al Gore for president, so there are two ,for sure, signs that the Westbary guys are neither Christian nor Baptist. Please have more knowledge about things before you start limiting the 1st amendment. Quote

thetragichippy Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 10 pages about this and you are still talking in circles. I think we all agree she had a legal right to do that..... I also agree it was not the smartest thing to do and she knew the risk. If that amazing cop would have missed and gotten killed, they would of had time to wipe out the entire place..... There comes a time when the risk may not be worth the reward.......just because you can, doesn't mean you should...... mat, bullets13, Mr. Buddy Garrity and 1 other 4 Quote

thetragichippy Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Again, what good is having a right if you cannot or do not exercise that right???? Women have a right to go topless in Texas........ I also said she had a legal right....... Let me ask you something..... If she does it again with no security, would you participate and bring your family? Me personally.....I would not. To me, drawing a picture of someone I don't believe in would not be worth the POSSIBLE risk. That does not take away my right to do so, I just choose to be cautious because I love my family. I would hate to say, I lost my family to a terrorist because I wanted to piss him off and make fun of their God.......because I had the legal right. LumRaiderFan Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 The biggest problem is that we have a group of people in this country that will kill over a cartoon in the name of religion. If we never give them a reason to be offended and kill us, they'll find a reason themselves. Quote

stevenash Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 As stated earlier, the two terrorists who were killed in this incident would have NOT remained "peace loving" if it hadnt been for the gathering. They would have killed at some point in time without provocation. smitty and 5GallonBucket 2 Quote

Please have more knowledge about things before you start limiting the 1st amendment. No doubt Westboro is a cult, and it's members are cuckoo. which doesn't change the fact that they're following parts of the bible "to the letter" as well. I'm not sure what knowledge you think I'm lacking. I've had ten pages of this crap with you guys imparting all the wisdom i'll never need on the subject. Quote

thetragichippy Posted May 13, 2015 Report Posted May 13, 2015 Your strawman in no way negates the legitimate question I asked......... OK....I'll play your game. Your "question" "what good is having a right if you cannot or do not exercise that right????" Your rights should not be taken away. She had EVERY right to have that contest. Because we are a free country, we are FREE to USE our rights or to not use them. I am thankful that my girlfriend does not use her right to walk around topless. So, I think I answered your question..... Now answer mine....... If she does it again with no security, would you participate and bring your family? bullets13 and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

I agree, but the problem is that if we never had another Muslim cartoon lampooning gathering, these animals would simply find other gatherings to ply their craft. They hate us infidels, plain and simple, and don't need a specific motive to act. (9-11) 5GallonBucket and RETIREDFAN1 2 Quote

I mean years of not offending, political correctness and appeasement has led to Sharia Law trumping the laws of the land.
