Coach85 Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 BYU and Notre Dame......Imagine that. Two of the most prestigious religious schools in the nation joining the Big House Big 12. Choir Boys in the criminal conference. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
king Posted May 6, 2015 Author Report Posted May 6, 2015 Those would be huge additions! 😂😂😂 Who would be your teams then? ECU and Central Florida have been competitive past few years Quote
TxHoops Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 I would like schools who finish 7th-9th in conference but celebrate its conference mates' accomplishments like they are their own. You know, the kind of school whose players perform celebration dances after tackles for loss, despite being drubbed 77-0 at the time? I wonder who would fit that description.... PhatMack19 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Who would be your teams then? ECU and Central Florida have been competitive past few years I bet those TV ratings would be phenomenal. Maybe they could play all of their games Wed-Friday so people wouldn't have many choices but to watch. Quote
TxHoops Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 I bet those TV ratings would be phenomenal. Maybe they could play all of their games Wed-Friday so people wouldn't have many choices but to watch. Because TV ratings = money. And it's tough to be profitable in such a "weak" conference... Oh wait.... Quote
PhatMack19 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Because TV ratings = money. And it's tough to be profitable in such a "weak" conference... Oh wait.... Did you renew your season tickets? I hear they are down over 40,000 seats since 2010. Quote
TxHoops Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Did you renew your season tickets? I hear they are down over 40,000 seats since 2010. Yes. But I seem to recall aggy sales being down not so long ago too. No worries. When the ship gets righted, sales will be up and they will close in the south end zone. Capacity will be 120k. And poor aggy will have to narrow those tackle box seats even more to try and keep up with big brother ;) Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Texas will leave the Bix II before it expands. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Texas will leave the Bix II before it expands. Only 13 short years left until that Gor agreement expires. That's not very long in the grand scheme of things..... Quote
PhatMack19 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Big 12 tiebreakers sethttp://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/06/the-new-big-12-tiebreaker-procedures-explained/ Reddit is always good for some laughs. What a clusterhttp://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/354rgy/new_big_xii_tiebreak_is_a_recipe_for_point_shaving/ It would be great to see Baylor or TCU's QB running backwards to take safeties so they could get the correct point differential and win the conference. I'm sure Vegas would love that. Quote

TxHoops Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 Oh yea, contracts are "binding". They are for schools whose law school sucks... Quote
RaiderRed30 Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 BYU obviously Colorado State. Good school and returns the Big 12 to the Denver market. Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 They are for schools whose law school sucks... One would think that a school with the coaching history of aTm would know that if you throw money at the problem, it goes away. Contract or not. Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted May 7, 2015 Report Posted May 7, 2015 BYU obviously Colorado State. Good school and returns the Big 12 to the Denver market. The Denver market would be IDEAL for the aggies. Puff, puff, pass Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
