AshlyHasBeen Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Sorry I don't have my stuff in front of me, what place was this for 3rd?
Guest ECBucFan Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 TUFF night for the Lady Bucs! Two starters foul out early, and another ejected in 1st qt. Grand total of three fouls for the entire 2nd half for DV. Despite it all, Lady Bucs reserves never quit, tying game midway in the 4th.
DP#1FAN Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Congrats Lady Pirates! Ashame one player tried to ruin a hard fought game with her actions. Good luck Lady Pirates in the playoffs.
SteelerCzy Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Great game Lady Pirates, good luck in the playoffs.

Guest ECBucFan Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Ashame one player tried to ruin a hard fought game with her actions. "Ruin a game"? Come on now, thats a little overboard, and unnecessary. Do you seriously think nothing on the other side led up to that ejection? Frustration set in for EC due to "anything goes" on one end of the court, and touch fouls on the other. Foul count was GROSSLY out of wack. No one can dispute that.
Buc Backer Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Ashame one player tried to ruin a hard fought game with her actions. The actions of one player should not reflect on the team as a whole so I guess that the actions of the girl receiving the punch shouldn't reflect on D-ville as a whole, either. By the way, I have video showing that she was not an "innocent victim" in the altercation. After the whistle blew, following the foul on the rebound, I was still recording and captured the vicious elbow thrown by the "innocent victim" (AFTER THE WHISTLE WAS BLOWN) so it could not have been an accident. After that, the DV girl turns, says something to the EC girl and the rest you know. This is a classic example of why you should never retaliate. The second one is usually the only one that pays the price for their actions.
Guest ECBucFan Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I try my very best to NOT criticize officials. Anyone familiar with my posts knows that is very true. However, this is one instance where the officiating was the root cause of the problems. I know players (both sides) will be intense, and the officials are there to controll it. They didn't here. They let it set in and fester by allowing (as I said earlier) "anything goes" on one side, and touch fouls on the other. I am just sorry they didn't let the teams decide this game.Oh well, stuff happens, time to move on.
