@astros: #Astros officially select SS Carlos Correa to the Major League roster. He will join the club tomorrow in Chicago.

Exciting time to be an Astros fan. I am working up on the Canadian border in Michigan and got the chance to go watch the game in Toronto yesterday and got to talking to some of the Blue Jays fans and even they were saying how the batting averages across the board and the lack of production we are getting from the SS position is a glaring weakness. Hopefully calling up Correa can give the team a spark and help get the team rolling again.

This call up might be just as big as Correa without the fanfare.  Scouts are really high on him

Correa who has only played 9 games, already owns the Astros franchise record for most hits through 10 career games with 14. The previous best was 13 hits by Ken CaminitI and Altuve

If you haven't watched him play, you need to start.  This kid has a good chance to be the best player in baseball sooner rather than later.

If we could watch him we would. Thanks to certain idiots that can't come to an agreement the majority of fans unfortunately can not see this young man   play. We just have to watch the high lights on ESPN.

Scored as a double. Correa is very exciting to watch. Astros infield is almost an automatic out. Grattis with a clutch triple for the go ahead run and Castro with a sac fly to add insurance. I was in the Crawford boxes and could not see the Correa double or the Grattis triple. Thought the Correa hit was an out and thought the Grattis hit was a homer till I saw him still running the bases. Had a blast watching th Astros beat them Yankees.

Correa is now the only shortstop in the last century to tally 8 homers in his 1st 34 career games and is the 1st Astros player all-time, regardless of position, to hit 8 homers in his 1st 34 Major League games.
