PhatMack19 Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 July 16-19 Rory was the favorite but now he is in a walking boot. No word yet if he will miss the tournament. Jordan Speith's odds to win the first 3 majors of the season just shot up tremendously. Quote

Jordan Speith's odds to win the first 3 majors of the season just shot to tremendously. I think Jordan has a good chance regardless. Texans, especially ones from DFW and west, should naturally do well at Links courses. For Jordan himself he just has to go to Weatherford an hour away to play a links style course. Jordan should have already been the favorite but three weeks layoff hopefully won't bring any rust with it. Quote

RaiderRed30 Posted July 6, 2015 Report Posted July 6, 2015 Jordan is playing the John Deere this coming week.Okay I knew normally he did but the interview after the US Open made it seem like he wasn't. Good that he keeping his commitment. Quote

PhatMack19 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Report Posted July 16, 2015 Speith -5 through 10. Everyone going low today except Tiger who is +4 Quote
Hagar Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Speith -5 through 10. Everyone going low today except Tiger who is +4He finished at -5. Young man has ice water in his veins, and in the Majors, he bows up like a mad rattlesnake. And to me, one of his best attributes, he's got Class. TxHoops 1 Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Hack Woods shoots +4 76.That 76 will end up looking like an 86 when compared to other scores today. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 16, 2015 Author Report Posted July 16, 2015 John Daly is -4 through 10. He's still one of the fan favorites. Quote
Hagar Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 John Daly is -4 through 10. He's still one of the fan favorites. So much wasted talent! If I'm not mistaken he's won at St A once before. Wonder if still flattens the ball like he use too. $15 cab fare from tee to get to his ball. Quote
TxHoops Posted July 17, 2015 Report Posted July 17, 2015 What a moment at twilight at the Old Course. Tom Watson had a career filled with class and grace. His final moments were no different. Also loved that Matt Kuchar came back to witness his last walk up 18 and to thank him, hours after his own round was completed. Hagar 1 Quote

Hagar Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 Speith bogies the 9th, a birdie hole. Must have upset him. Has birdies on next three to go -10 and tie for lead. Quote
ST413 Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 Definitely want Jordan to win but it will be hard to root against the amateur! Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Report Posted July 19, 2015 D Johnson will find a way to blow it. He shot 75 today and was the only player in Top 25 to shoot over par Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 19, 2015 Author Report Posted July 19, 2015 Amateur Paul Dunne in the clubhouse tied for the lead after 3 rounds. This is only his 2nd tournament ever to play. He would miss out on a $1.8 million dollar payday if he wins. The golfers below him that get to split that money would be happy though Quote

PhatMack19 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 There are currently 3 amateurs in the top 6 and 15 golfers within 3 shots of the lead. This should be a great final round. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 Paul Dunne played college golf this year at UAB with his best round of the year being 67. He shot 66 in the 3rd round of the British Open. Talk about timing. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 The weather is coming in with wind and rain expected in the next hour. If one of these early guys can post a score in the clubhouse, they have a good chance of winning with tougher conditions coming. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Posted July 20, 2015 Speith with a double at the Par 3 8th. That really hurts his chances. He's now 3 back with a bunch of people in front of him Quote
