I'm at a loss to understand the use of heroin.  It's almost a one way street, so addictive, so hard to get off.  While I've never used weed, I have killed a few million brain cells with beer and Skye.  I get that, but heroin?  Can someone enlighten me?

It's like any drug.......

It apparently makes you feel good.

Heroin is fairly easy to get from what I hear. I didn't know it was this bad though. Its almost like a designer drug now. Very popular again like in the olden days.

Heroin used to be sold over-the-counter as a child's cough remedy. Used to be signs in drug stores reading "Take aspirin for your headache and heroin for your cough".....sold by Bayer.

I Googled this article but I had seen the sign long ago when I was browsing some old signs. Around the turn of the 20th century, pneumonia was the number one killer.....above heart attack. I guess that any cough was considered serious. Surely they knew of the addictive qualities back then.

Like you said BG, heroin is very available from what I have read.
