baddog
Back on topic.....most people viewed the show to get a glimpse of Daisy in her Daisy Dukes, not to drink beer and scream that the south's gonna do it again. How about some of you just put on your man pants and grow up. BS Wildcats and Hagar

How about some of you just put on your man pants and grow up. But it has a battle flag of Tennessee displayed prominently throughout the show, so it has to spew hate and racism. BS Wildcats
Just saw this and thought it interesting about TV Land. George Jefferson used racial slur honky 21 times in one season of The Jefferson's. Never a racist one uttered ever on the Dukes. Jefferson's not canceled. Go figure
BLUEDOVE3
No problem with that statement. Same rebel spirit that carried over to the south.....hence the "Rebel" flag. Since blacks seem to think this flag represents slavery of the south, what flag represented the slavery of the north? Oh yeah. There were slaves in the north. A huge fact overlooked out of necessity. What time period are you referring to the north having slaves. 1990's 1870's 1860's, 1850's, etc? thetragichippy
New Jersey was the last state up North to end slavery in 1865......same year as the South.

stevenash
SInce the Federal government provides headstones/markers for Confederate Soldiers as well as Union Soldiers, are we going to have to remove the Confederate Soldier headstones since it might be "offensive" to some to have had that done with taxpayer dollars? Hagar
Been many years since I read 1984, but isn't this bordering on:We had no Civil War. We never fought the South, therefore there is no Confederate flag. If you've read it, you get the idea. If you haven't, you really should. A piece of fiction that is storming into reality. thetragichippy
Well, here is the Confederate Flag.... They are taking down a BATTLE flag...... but most will think it's the Confederate Flag.....Since the CNN poll claimed 57% of America thought of the battle flag as heritage, I'm curious to see what happens at election time.....
