SuperflySnuka Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Pitchers ?Catchers ?Hitters & Fielders ?
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Cort Richards can't be touched!
rhino1877 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Mna they had a pitcher come out of there that was awesome, and right now I cannot think of his name.
tiptopfan08 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 What about players like Ford, Webber, Long Stutes and Harrington? Ryan Robertson? There are quite a few that still need to be named.
besbolbenbedygud Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Jeff Johnson (p) Ben and Chris Webber(p's)
gpd65 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Yep! Both Webers, Long, Ford, Robertson (for sure) and the Stutes boys.... All great ballplayers....
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I played with Cort, I'm going out on a limb and say Chase was better. Cort still plays in the Summer league I'm in, I think he's gotten better since high school.

rhino1877 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Harrington was the name I was looking for.......
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 Man I haven't seen Ferris for a while, he used to work on the Astros field crew as second job. His day job was at NASA.
Champion Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 What about the Cooksey Brothers. Wes and Jesse Cooksey. Wes played at PNG for one year and then went to Lamar and was drafted by the Yankees. Jesse was 1st team all-state his Sr yr and drafted by the Red Sox out of high school but went to school and hurt his shoulder. I think those two guys should be on the top of the list!
WarriorSports Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 I agree with the cooksey brother comments..I was Jesses college room-mate/team mate at Galveston JUCO and he was a dominant pitcher till his shoulder injury..and the oldest Wes Cooksey, I played against in wood bat leagues, very tough hitter to get out from the left side..
turntwobaseball Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 YOU COULD THROW BRAD GUILBEAUX IN THE MIX.
themasterofbaseball Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 How about Bo Worthom??? 8)
SuperflySnuka Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 Pitcher? Anybody remember Kevin Lane? I remember him throwing a No-No against Lumberton in the early 90s and beat West Orange Stark (undefeated 22-0) as a junior.Went to Lamar. Still one of the top pitchers on record at Lamar. He shoved it up the Longhorns rear when they came to Beaumont in 1994
LLW12 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 what about that cody mire kid? anyone know how he's doing in college?
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I'll throw out my stats my senior year in '98, .666 batting average with 1 strikeout. Maybe I should mention I tore my hamstring and only batted three times in the season with a gimp leg. My hits were vs. HJ and Deer Park (broke up a no no when we were getting crushed) with my one K vs BC in our last regular season game after fouling off like 5 or 6 pitches. Until then Jesse Cooksey said I would go down as the only player in PN-G varsity history to hit 1.000.
