You ask Boutte, he wanted him to stay and was upset that he left. Travis would still be Memorial's coach if he chose to stay.

Travis has been wanting to leave, even before that incident.

No way he gives up 30 wins a year and state contender for a 6 wins a year and hopefully 1 playoff game.

Joubert giving somebody Kountze basketball to coach Kountze football would be the same as giving someone Newton football to coach Newton basketball.  Stick with the proven winner.

Kountze doesn't have a lot coming up in the under classes . They will be decent this year with Graylan but will take a step back after this season. The basketball job may be a little easier to give up after this season.

I can't see Joubert stepping away this year and I can't see Travis as an assistant so I would expect just what was said,  he will take at least this year off.  Maybe he will end up helping in some unofficial way.

Yes he was the front runner at the time, and I knew all about it.  I also knew WHY he withdrew his name from the candidacy too...didn't mention it because it was a personnel matter. THIS job however I am CERTAIN...it's a DONE DEAL...take it or leave it. AND NO INTERVIEWS ARE NEEDED.

From what I've been told no one has been hired at this point, secondly if this hire is true good thing for Anthony is that the job will come back open again in the next couple years anyway.
