VYPE 21-5A PREDICTIONS 2015

Not sure why I should know better, but I honestly think Humble, Kpark, or New Caney have a better chance.  I'm not a Dayton hater or anything.  As a matter of fact, I only root for one team and don't care what happens to the rest of ya.  And it is he.

I honestly think Dayton has a better chance at winning district than not making the playoffs. I respect your opinion on Humble KP and NC. I will add though Dayton beat all 3 last year by about the same margins as Crosby and Dayton returns more starters than anyone in our district.

I'm not sure how great of a fit Maple is at KP so I'll hold off picking them. They were in a lot of games strictly because of coaching. When KP was down 21-0 to Crosby Henderson was pulled and Purcell came in and brought KP back to within four. A few weeks later though Purcell was playing wr when Henderson dominated King and they lost to one of the better coaching performances I've seen lately.

You have a point with the scoring margins but the difference is that Crosby brings back the majority of their offensive production while Dayton lost almost all of theirs. Humble probably had the best defense Crosby saw all year and some people think they'll be even better this year. If they find a qb I think they're in. They've beaten Dayton and KP in consecutive years now.

New Caney is the wild card. I can see them going anywhere from 4-6 again to 7-3. They got some solid transfers and they also bring back 14 starters. They actually bring back more than Dayton on offense and might even be more talented than the Broncos this year?

This will be the strongest our district has been in a good while.

Not only did Dayton graduate the key players that were their offensive production, but those players also played on defense.  Chamberlain and Keener both played defense against Crosby.  Who knows, maybe they will reload. I just don't see having this one guy that was on JV last year (that  Crosby beat with a sophomore JV team) being dominant.  Maybe he will with other varsity squad around him

I think that kid is gone now anyway. He was probably going to be Dayton's best defender but it looks like he transferred back to Liberty. They really needed him too with how much the ball is going to be ran in the district this year.

Stews last year,we should be better on both sides of the ball,if somehow this bronco team fails to make it 20 straight=openings .How well Dayt performs =how well talent is managed, let's not forget the 2014 OT loss to Crosby=missing L Rhone(broke leg)D Moore kid starts both ways, and lb.Ya'll haters go ahead and pick against us,as out of sync as we've been we lost back to back rd#2 games by 1 point.Past time to shine & bring back the fans, local & out of town folk

Chamberlain didn't play for Dayton last year but Chambers did. Several of the kids that I think will have big impacts on Dayton's team didn't even play at Dayton last year. Dayton will most likely have the biggest physically strongest nose in the district. The only reason I say probably on the biggest and strongest is because I'm not sure where he will play next yea. As a sophmore he won the district as a super heavy weight and will most likely win state this year. He started on the oline as a freshman but I believe he will be moved this year. I believe dayton will have the best defense they have had since 2010. Only time will tell but kids like EJ Lagarious Styner Moore Gaines who nobody talks about are all freakish athletes. I would say Lagarious has a 35+ inch vertical and excellent hands and speed. Another junior won the district high jump as a sophmore but didn't play football at dayton last year and was a late transfer. I could sit here all day and go back and forth but it really doesn't matter. I'm just saying I have watched Dayton for a long time and this years team looks more promising than last years and I even stated that last year. One more thing. Your right Crosbys JV did win the game against Dayton in the last few minutes but dayton did finish the season 9-1 and had the best record in our district.

Yes, I meant Chambers.  Only time will tell, you could be right. No one predicted crosby's run last year except cougar14 and he got banned for it.  I know some Dayton fans were counting on this Shaq kid being the go to player. If what cougar14, I mean coog02, says is right about him transferring they will be disappointed.

The kid I'm talking about is named Tyrus Williams. He's the kid they kept going to during the jv game. He was certainly an FBS prospect at linebacker and would've bolstered Dayton's defense. I was very high on the kid but I believe he's going back to Liberty now?

Why would anyone transfer to Liberty? Might as well of transferred to H-D and be apart of the Four Horsemen tradition they have there.

Mother/family@Liberty=Dad moves back=works like horticulture, kid(former pony was fresh all-dist selection@Liberty=aka letter jacket, kid once he decides has potential to play@next level

    • Nah… to be completely honest, I think it goes like this.  I’m split on it.    Part of me says that there’s a segment of voters who believe that trump should be the ruler, whatever that means. It’s about 25% of R voters according to polls. They’re the hardcore Trump loyalists… the kind of people who would travel to DC in the winter to hear Trump speak at a rally, then ransack the Capitol… maybe trump doesn’t believe his own “you’ll never have to vote again” rhetoric-but he’s just throwing red meat to the fascism supporting minority of the R party. Kinda like he does when he says racist crap to fire up the minority of his followers (cough, Baddog, cough) who really don’t like brown skins or foreigners. You know, Trump doesn’t really want unilateral power, he just needs to whip up his voters who think he should have unilateral power. It’s possible, right? Then the other side of me sees who he was willing to say or do ANYTHING to remain in office, even after it became obvious that he didn’t have the votes. The fact that he refuses to accept reality as late as the debate last week makes me think, “no… this guy is the real deal, willing to do ANYTHING to get back in office and then willing to do anything to keep it and/or hand it off to his heir apparent.     Over time, things have ping-ponged back and forth between monarchies/fascists who get overrun by the masses, then that form of government (populist) erodes to the point where a strong man seizes power.  I think we fought off socialism/communism as a republic and in 2024 we’re fighting off a facist-style movement where enough of the population has enough faith in one leader to give them absolute power.    But that’s just my opinion. Trump and his hardcore followers (the ones who aren’t in prison for their 1/6 activities represent the biggest internal threat to our democracy that we’ve seen in my lifetime.  The fact that it’s originating from “my” side is what’s particularly troubling to me. I would have expected the left to converge around a popular leftist, not the right.
    • I don’t tune in all the time, but I do like Kat. I’m know the studio audience and tv audience enjoyed the show.
    • It looks like Tyler won this game last year and both team look to be much improved.  I think Lufkin may struggle a little out of the box bringing the QB back in, but the Lufkin D will help in that transition. I see Lufkin by 14 as Tyler should struggle to score. Seeya next week 👊
