Kelly will be much better this year and even better next year.  Helps that they arguably have PA's top player in each of the Class of '17 and '18, respectively.  They also have one of the better class of '17 players from Nederland.  I expect them to be near the top of 3A-Private I'm SETX this year and at the top next year, which will be AG (after Grayland).

Today was the first day of school at Kelly. We have 4 returning Varsity starters...three Juniors (6'2 Cannon Broussard - Nederland) 5'10 John Kraemer - Beaumont and 5'11 Tevin Baker - Port Arthur) and one Sophomore (6'2 Jomard Valsin - Port Arthur). Add to that returning Sophomore (5'11 Jakobee Dill) who was our 6th man last year. We added a Junior that transferred from Central (6'3 Dareiyus Richard). Freshman 6'3 Kevin Dotson (Nabbed from Central) may get some Varsity time this year and should really help us. I might add, 6 of those 7 players played in our Defenders organization

St. Anthony, but his dad coaches at Central. He almost went there. We also got another Port Arthur freshman Christopher May.

There were a few kids that weren't in the 2nd period basketball class today, so I haven't had a chance to see everyone yet. But Drew Rawls from St. Anthony is another freshman that can ball!

it's a private school.  Without recruits, it wouldn't have any students.

Coached against Drew and Kevin last year. On a junior high level they were unstoppable. All kelly needs is a 6'6 kid to match up against those schools from Houston and Dallas and they could make some noise in then playoffs.
