It was 3rd and forever. Silsbee probably would've won....
BMTSoulja1
varsity material? Yep. Parents from Silsbee and BH were telling that kid's parents that he's a good one and should be on varsity.... Mr. Buddy Garrity

Cougar14.2
I know its all about the varsity game, but just figured the way the Coog posters were talking dynasty, their Freshman and JV would've rolled Nederland? You can look at the sub-varsity records from the last few years and see that it really doesn't have bearing on what the same kids will do a year or two later. The varsity has won over 30 games the last few years while the freshman and jv combined may not have many more. I think especially at the jv level it's hard to gauge. If all your difference making sophomores are on varsity how can you judge the strength of what's basically a sophomore team in most cases? If you look at the freshman game you could clearly see the difference in level and number of athletes. Crosby was up 9 points with less than in 7 mins in the 4th quarter driving and dropped three straight passes then fumbled on the next drive. Ned scored with :55 left to take the lead. Those type of things get corrected in a year or two and become wins instead of losses. Ned's kids played hard for forty minutes while ours probably thought they had it won, which is something else that gets corrected. Banned
The logic in just a few of you guys post is why if your expecting anything past oh say a second round game, stfu!! Really, your trying to pick a fight about how the frosh and JV did on a Thursday night then when you get a response you deem it excuses, really. Ok, for you guys not so up to speed with foooootballll here is something to ponder, tho never wanting to lose sometimes the younger folks take it on the chin for the greater good. What happens at a JV game? The old ball coaches huddle around at the end of the end zone and watch certain down and distances and strategize how plays not players develop. Just because Thursday nights are Super Bowl type games for small degenerate towns like Nederland when you play a powerhouse like Crosby, in Crosby they sit back and laugh as you throw ur whole playbook at the sub varsity games just to eke out a meaningless win!! Not giving excuses, just reasons Ned won some games yesterday but will get crushed tonight. Banned
