kicker
The good news about playing PNG is their kids are as disciplined as ours. (No cheap shots or trash). The bad news is one of us has to lose. The other good news is that win or lose, we will both make each other better. We need a team that can flat out play some non-wing T offense and they need to play a team with an explosive, score anytime offense. Let the best team win with no injuries to either team. With that said, WOS 39 (we need a kicker) PNG 24( yall have a very good kicker). With all the run oriented teams in the district, this is much better prep for a deep playoff run. Even in week 2 though, it's a great game for both teams to have on the schedule. prepballfan, PN-G bamatex and Kj Dad

Goblin
WOS has an 18-7 lead against PNG with 4 of those 7 wins coming before 1984. So since 1984 WOS is 15-3 against the Indians. Not making any conclusions just stating facts. The games are always tough at the Reservation. Good luck to both. Should be a good game for both and both should learn from it. Hopefully no injuries. 1977 PNG 36, WOS 131978 WOS 28, PNG 201979 WOS 28, PNG 241980 WOS 36, PNG 241981 PNG 30, WOS 71982 PNG 19, WOS 141983 PNG 17, WOS 141984 WOS 23, PNG 141985 WOS 14, PNG 21988 WOS 51, PNG 01989 WOS 25, PNG 201990 WOS 35, PNG 141991 WOS 35, PNG 161992 PNG 14, WOS 131993 WOS 42, PNG 101996 PNG 35, WOS 71997 WOS 35, PNG 01998 WOS 17, PNG 121999 WOS 21, PNG 142000 WOS 7, PNG 02001 WOS 28, PNG 02002 WOS 3, PNG 02012 WOS 34, PNG 132013 PNG 37, WOS 342014 WOS 33, PNG 27 (OT)PNG points against WOS since 1997 = 93WOS point against PNG since 2012 = 101 Edited August 30, 2015 by Goblin
Kj Dad
This game will be a measuring stick for both teams! For the next 4 weeks WOS faces Richmond Foster (5A), Jasper (4A) , Silsbee (4A) & Newton (3A). This Young Mustangs Team gonna have to grow up really fast these next couple weeks. Starting this up in coming week against PNG. All I know is that WOS coming to The Reservation expecting to leave with the Win. These kids don't have to be reminded that this is a big game that's gonna have a hostile crowd. Every game @ WOS is a big game. An they know they gonna have to win all phase of the game to Leave The Reservation with the Win. tennisbc
(we need a kicker) This seems to always be a big issue at WOS. It strange that year in and year out we struggle with that position.
FrodoNDN
I played on that 1985 team. We had WOS 2 to 0 all the way until the last 5 min of the game. Then boom, they scored two quick ones. It was a very physical game. They had a salty defensive back then by the name of Kevin Smith. skipper
I might be out of bounds by saying this BUT I do belive pn-g will be the best team that wo-s will meet up with this year very well coached all away around.this will be a test for a very young mustang team been over 20 years such a young team.pn-g don't care how young they are they could care less we are going to there place a very hard place to win NDNation, prepballfan and venom33

kicker
Here is a fun fact. The 98 game is when Jermaine Hope layed on top of Cody Coburn at the 3 yard line so he couldn't get back to line of scrimmage and ended the game. PNG had no time outs left. Oops lol!! Gasilla
WOS will score more than 10... Seems like you would have learned after last yr, but we ARE NOT Clear Lake. Indians put up points tonight as expected, but it's the defense that is going to be very good this year. PNG 37-

Not that it matters, it wasn't one of the twins... It was Reagan Thibedeaux. They blanketed the twins on the play...Loudest games I have been to was 89 on the bomb at the end at WOS... And 92, and 99. Atmospher of 89 was the best.. Both undefeated, WOS ranked#1after back to back championships... PNG ranked #7 under Danny Malone.. David Crommett kept us in that game with every gadget play known to man.... If his name sounds familiar, he was the OC at PNG, left and has been Neaumans OL coach ever since... griff and prepballfan
