I am in Whitney, TX this weekend watching my grandson play however, I see my reverse psychology strategy of picking against the Pirates has paid off. Honestly, I thought we played a good team last week and should have won. Congratulations to the mighty Pirates and looking forward to watching Channelview trounce us. BTW, Whitney beat Wilmer Hutchins tonight 43 - 32; now 2 - 0.

The Vidorians have a good squad this year.  Well coached and they play with a lot of passion.  They will shake things up when district rolls around.

I'd like to see more passing to keep teams honest. Let them stack the box and run some quick slants or tight end quick outs. Or a fade route.

What a great Friday night!  Rebs beat Mag Legacy - Vidor beat Jasper - and the Evadale Volleyball team beat Jasper!

Take away the Vidor fumbles and the fact that they put in subs early in the fourth qtr and Vidor wins by 60. Vidor is a much better team than Jasper

Jasper did play without their star QB and was down a RB as well. May not have mattered in the end, but I like Jasper's chances with Williams at QB.

I left in middle of 3 rd quarter we got our but kicked on offence & defence . Heck my butt was hurting just watching it . Listen to rest of game on radio thanks coach Mathews for putting subs in. Just wasn't our night.

Dwayne Dubois goes 5 games without throwing a pass in 2011; we go three rounds deep. Nebraska football baby.

Yea but they did throw some in the playoffs. You can't be one dimensional once you get up against the better teams.

Those kids from Bay High were huge.  They has 6 guys on the line that weighed 250 or more. 3 were pushing 300. They also won again this week 41-0.

You eliminate a few of those fumbles and we win that game. I would love to see us pass a little more, but I want to see it on 1st or 2nd down. Not always on 3rd and long and they know the pass is coming.

After watching us play (and hold a close game until the last 5 mins of play) against Bay High a week ago, I was excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for us!  Our boys held their own against some big 'ol boys that night!  The score was close until a few mishaps very late in the 4th.

We will surprise quite a few folks this year!
