It was the back judge, the 2 safeties came up and the 1st one ran over him and the second dove at him when he was falling.  I think it said MacArthur.

Regardless of what team it was or whether or not the ref made a bad call, those two players should be out of the game for good.

absolutely inexcusable.  they'd never play another down of football for me again.  of course, if the coach is the one who told them to do it, then he might not mind putting them back out there as soon as possible.

Unbelievable! Those 2 thugs should be banned from ever playing a down of football. That was premeditated assault. Charges should be filed.

I just hope this was not a "coached up" incident.

Both players were ejected from game after that play. But both should never see the field the rest of the season or ever again.

They need to investigate whether anyone else knew that it was going to happen (especially coaching) or whether they were directed to do so.

The players involved? Guilty. The only question is whether to file felony assault charges on them or if the ref wants to let it go.

Don't blame the kids. Blame the parents. These kids are told at home that they don't have to respect authority figures unless respect is given to the kids first. We had this discussion on the basketball forum last year when the kid cold-cocked that ref on the court.  He felt "disrespected" by the ref.  It's a shame what some young folks are being taught today.
