A shooting that occurs in a college parking lot is not a "school shooting".  it's a shooting that happened at a school.  Of course CNN did not differentiate on that matter, but it's pretty obvious to anyone with common sense that there's a major difference between someone targeting a school for a violent act and a violent act that just happened to occur at a school.

CNN's article was titled "ANOTHER SCHOOL SHOOTING".  Then you click on it and realize it was one killed and three wounded in an apartment parking lot at 1:20 AM and you realize it's not a school shooting, it's a shooting that just happened to take place in the proximity of a school.
