Tim Riggins
There was 20 years of weaknesses brought up at the QB Club meeting yesterday morning and the answer was those weaknesses are why we have been in the state title games and hold the last state title won in the Golden Triangle. Henderson took advantage of turnovers as any good football team should. Orangefield is up Friday at home. Newton won't panic or hang their head. We'll see who is the last standing out of the SETX area. Not taking a thing away from Newton, but my guess is that WOS will be the last standing out of this area. ChampionEagles
It don't hurt my feelings any. West Orange is a quality program and deserves all respect. However, recent history puts Newton a slight favorite in my opinion. No program in SETX can match Newton playoff wins over the last 5 years. And maybe not in the last 10 years. I could be wrong. Newton has 12 playoff wins in the last 5 years and 26 wins in the last 10 years. BC is back
Newton must have had a lot of turnovers because that team just doesn't lose like that
EnjoyLife
I would not be surprised to see Newton and WOS at NRG Stadium come December. Kudos to the Newton fans...for a 3A-D2 program a lot of them made the long drive north for a non-district game. ChampionEagles
