bullets13
2 of 3 is good enough this series. UTfanatic
baddog
It will come down to whether or not my Stros can beat the Rangers. Right now that's kinda iffy. Astros winning 3-0. Rangers losing 3-0.
UTfanatic
Last time I saw the Astros play in person, Biggio was still playing. Growing up it was a treat to go to the Astrodome. I guess growing old has its advantages.

Eazy
I think Houston needs to sweep Texas. They need to get a lead because they finish with 6 road games while Texas finishes with 7 home games. Asking the Astros to go 3-3 on the road may be too much. Ty Cobb
There has been a change on the Thursday game between TEXAS and oakland.Probable pitchers: TEX-Hamels (10-8, 3.67 era)oak-Bassitt (1-6, 2.82 era)
bullets13
The rangers picked up a big win to complete a sweep of the A's today. They extended their lead in the division to 3.5 games, and dropped their magic number to 7. If they can take two of three from the stros this weekend they'll just about wrap things up. bullets13
If we lose 2, we are done. Not sure about the Angels. That's what made this series against oakland so huge for the rangers. Even if we only take 1 of 3, we still leave houston with a 2.5 game lead and a magic number of 5 with 5 or 6 games left to play.

Go 'Stros!Nolan Ryan, Joe Niekro, Bob Knepper, Don Sutton, Joe Sambito in the bullpen. Astros have had some great pitchers. I also remember Dickie Thon, who was leading MLB in HRs when he got hit in the face, which pretty much ended his career. That was sad.
