baddog Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 It will come down to whether or not my Stros can beat the Rangers. Right now that's kinda iffy. Astros winning 3-0. Rangers losing 3-0. Quote
UTfanatic Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Last time I saw the Astros play in person, Biggio was still playing. Growing up it was a treat to go to the Astrodome. I guess growing old has its advantages. Quote
UTfanatic Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Their history says they won't make it. I think they will. Quote
Ty Cobb Posted September 21, 2015 Author Report Posted September 21, 2015 houston won 2 out of 3 and TEXAS won 1 out of 3. The RANGERS lead is down to 1.5 games. Quote

Eazy Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I think Houston needs to sweep Texas. They need to get a lead because they finish with 6 road games while Texas finishes with 7 home games. Asking the Astros to go 3-3 on the road may be too much. Quote
Ty Cobb Posted September 23, 2015 Author Report Posted September 23, 2015 There has been a change on the Thursday game between TEXAS and oakland.Probable pitchers: TEX-Hamels (10-8, 3.67 era)oak-Bassitt (1-6, 2.82 era) Quote
bullets13 Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 The rangers picked up a big win to complete a sweep of the A's today. They extended their lead in the division to 3.5 games, and dropped their magic number to 7. If they can take two of three from the stros this weekend they'll just about wrap things up. Quote

bullets13 Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 If we lose 2, we are done. Not sure about the Angels. That's what made this series against oakland so huge for the rangers. Even if we only take 1 of 3, we still leave houston with a 2.5 game lead and a magic number of 5 with 5 or 6 games left to play. Quote
Gabe Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 I'll be there Saturday. So will Mike actually now Quote

I also remember Dickie Thon, who was leading MLB in HRs when he got hit in the face, which pretty much ended his career. That was sad. Quote
