baddog
Been a few since I've seen that. Still beats a trainIt was state-of-the-art in its day. Looked like something Atari would have invented.Good to reminisce, but today's Astros are just about done. Do we still have a wild card chance? BS Wildcats
It was state-of-the-art in its day. Looked like something Atari would have invented.Good to reminisce, but today's Astros are just about done. Do we still have a wild card chance?I hope, but I think they are prolly done. They have to win the next 2 to have any chance. It's hard to make the playoffs without clutch hitting and a strong bullpen. The homer is nice, but not when it comes with a .230 avg. bullets13
astros almost choked that game away today. a must win for them, but they have to feel about as uneasy as possible after actually winning a game.
Ty Cobb
houston won 2 of 3 games from the RANGERS and are 2.5 games behind. bullets13
Rangers looked bad tonight, but got a huge win. Magic number finally down to 4. They had lost 3 straight, but it felt like 30.
Ty Cobb
I really thought this was a 2 team race but the angels have played themselves into contention.
baddog
I really thought this was a 2 team race but the angels have played themselves into contention. The Angels are a double edged sword for my Stros. We needed to win last night and didn't. That could very well be our season.
bullets13
I really thought this was a 2 team race but the angels have played themselves into contention. screwed us too because we won and the Astros lost but our magic number only went down
bullets13
Angels finally lost a game to drop the Rangers magic number to 3, and the Rangers have a 6-2 lead going to the 8th to drop it to

bullets13
to be honest, though, I'd love for both texas teams to make it into the playoffs.
Eazy
Astros still in excellent shape. With Texas and the Angels playing 4 games against each other, Houston just needs to win 2 of 3 against Zona to at least guarantee a playoff for the final spot. Ty Cobb
Well, here we are at the end of the season. The RANGERS currently hold a 2.5 game lead over the astros and a 3 game lead over the angles. bullets13
Just saw where the Rangers can clinch a playoff berth with a win tonight, which should mean they have 4 shots to win one game against the Angels to clinch a playoff spot. That being said, winning the division is the main goal here, and might take two wins out of four.
baddog
I don't see a chance for my Stros with two teams ahead of them battling each other. One of those teams will be ahead in the end and I'm not sure about the wild card.
PhatMack19
Best case for Astros is to go 3-0 while Angels sweep 4 from the Rangers. That would leave the Astros and Angels tied for the division and Rangers watching on tv. The Astros just need to win all 3 and let the rest work itself out. bullets13
Rangers have given up 5 in the top of the 9th to go down 1 run. Absolutely horrific pitching. Coaches deserve a large chunk of the blame for bringing out the closer for the 5th straight day. He gave up two homers in 4 pitches and was pulled. Out of his 5 straight appearances, 2 were save opportunities. Poor management
bullets13
Unfathomable collapse by the Rangers. Hurts the Astros as much as it hurts the Rangers, too.
