I use to see it all the time in youth sports.....A father looking at his children play sometimes sees things different that the rest of the crowd.....

Here we go. Home cooking with the refs y'all picked lol. Lumberton uses the local TASO chapter. BISD makes everyone use the Houston chapter in their games, home or away. Home cooking with the refs Ozen picked? Give me a break. You lost to the better, more physical, more disciplined, better coached team last night. Good luck the rest of the year to the Panthers. I'll be the first to say I hope you win out! ;-) 

I dId say they clearly out played Ozen but no one on here cares to post or mentIon the lopsided penalties. Personal foul on Lumberton call was overturned. They had 1 holding penalty and I think 1 personal foul that stuck other than that It was a perfect game or some good home cooking for Home ComIng. I think Ozen had about 15 and a TD called back. Som kids just have to learn to deal with adversity better. Good game Lumberton.

And some teams are just more discipline then other or catch lucky breaks. It happens, yes it sucks but it does.

Amazingly similar stats

It really was a closer game than what the score showed.  It didn't get bad until the last half of the 4th Qtr.  Everybody is giving Ozen a hard time, but they are going to give a lot of teams trouble this year.  The real difference in the game was our defense holding Ozen to 8 pts in the 2nd half.

Someone posted the stats for the game bud including penalties. May want to take a peak before commenting much more on the "lop sided" penalty situation. ;-)

So, I guess we all agree penalties had no influence on the game since Lumberton had 1 more than Ozen and 5 more yards.

Like I said, if you let penalties decide a game, you should have practiced more.....

Now I don't have the stats handy but I'm thinking this is probably backwards. First and foremost Lumberton never punted during the game in fact Ozens punter can kick the cover off the ball, I was surprised how far his punt went.

It's just a game Buddy and we are fans and they are kids so we cheer and they compete. I would like for them to experience winning every game but sometimes loosing teaches them to deal with failures and we as parents must lead by example. Thanks and good luck to your Titans!

Yes I was feeling something was wrong with these stats. Lumberton never punted and Ozen definitely did so the credibility of these stats are false. I know Ozen had way more penalties than Lumberton but like I said Lumberton won the battle of the trenches and the game. Hats off to them. Hopefully we can get some of that home cooking delivered this weekend against Nederland! Lol

The stats are accurate, just have them listed under wrong team.

There were only 9 penalties accepted in the game.
