#1 OSU barely escaped Indiana.  

#2 MSU barely escaped a very weak Purdue team.

#3 Ole Miss got curb stomped by what has up until now looked like a decent at best Florida team.

#6 ND is probably about to lose, albeit by #12 Clemson.

#7 UCLA got spanked by an unranked team

#8 Georgia got manhandled by Bama

#9 LSU was only up a touchdown going into the 4th against eastern Michigan 

#11 Florida St beats weak Wake Forest by 8

#19 Wisconsin loses to Iowa 

 

is there more parity in football this year than usual?  Are the lesser teams catching up, or is there a lack of legit powerhouses, or both?
