BEAUMONT — The Beaumont Central Jaguars built up an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and went on to down the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears 55-43 in District 22-4A action at Jaguar Gym Friday night.

Central (16-13, 9-4) led the Bears (15-16, 5-8) 30-13 at intermission.

Aldrick Turner paced the central attack with 20 points.

Senior post Sebastian Born led the Bear attack with 10 points while post Kevin Cooper filtered in nine.

The Bears will close out their campaign at The Bear Cave Tuesday night against the Port Neches-Groves Indians.
