Silsbee Lady Tigers continue their District Title quest with another 3-0 victory over the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks.

(25-9, 25-16, 25-15)

Outstanding perfomances once again from JRs E. Carmenar & M. Brooks!!

Silsbee is now (6-1) in district, (21-6) overall, can maybe catch the TGCA pollsters attention and shed a little light on the highly competitive 24-4A.

Side note:

Silsbee JV 2-0 over HJ

Freshman 2-0 over HJ

Congrats to the Lady Rebels for the victory over West Hardin, who has a much improved ball club.

When Dist started we played at WH and the set we lost to them was first Dist loss set since 2013.  Got Mikasa searching for last time Rebs lost a Dist match.  It's fairly impressive.

per KOGT 10/7/15

This is the hidden content, please

This is gonna be interesting to see if Silsbee can hold of Orangefield & WO-S.

Either way 24-4A is gonna have some pretty decent teams in playoffs.

Orangefield is playing some really good volleyball right now.  New coach has them playing well.  Always a tough game with the Lady Tiger, should be fun!

Orangefield next week...Tigers got a handful this week as it is, no looking ahead allowed.

ALWAYS tense when the Tigers visit Mustang land.

The Evadale Lady Rebels have completed the first half of district play and remain undefeated at 7-0. Coach Debbie Hollyfield and her team now they have their sights set on going 14-0 and leaving no doubt as to who the best team in the district could be. “We have completed the Lady Rebels remain undefeated 7-0 first half, but now we will have to make a second run through the district and every team will be looking to knock us off,” Hollyfield said. Last Tuesday, the Lady Rebels traveled to High Island and defeated the Lady Cardinals in three games, 2512, 25-8, 25-5. Torie Langston had 17 kills, Hanna Oldbury had nine kills, Savannah Richardson added six kills, and Michaela Terry had 25 assists. On Friday, the Lady Rebels hosted Goodrich and once again they dispatched their opponent in three games, 257, 25-12, 25-13. Lanston had 12 kills, Richardson had seven kills and Oldbury had five kills. Terry had 16 assists with Sarah Bruce adding nine assists. Evadale will host West Hardin on Tuesday before heading to Sabine Pass on Friday. The Lady Rebels have only seven more games during the regular season and will attempt to exceed 25 wins for the fifth season in a row. The Lady Rebels are currently 20-7 on the season and seeking to finish the season in style. “I have been proud of the team as they have been striving to get better each and every game,” Hollyfield said. “We know we will get every teams best and that will help us as we get closer we get to the playoffs. We will just take each game one at a time and take care of our business, that is our job from here on out.”

Thanks to the Silsbee Bee, and Silsbee 92 for Posting.  The girls, and Coach Hollyfield deserve the recognition.  Year after year, they consistently defeat bigger schools, up to and including 6A teams, many who probably have potentially better players.  The difference is the hard work that Coach Hollyfield puts these girls through, and their eagerness to buy into it with the sure knowledge that success follows.
