jake94 Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Pre 1990: PNG- Ron McGill (Ned was real bad back then, but Ron was real good)Post 1990: PNG- Dustin LongPre 1990: Ned-Kip McFarlin (he was the QB that finally got us to playoffs after some very lean years)Post 1990: Ned- Micah Mosley(Troy Sumrall was a close 2nd) I was born in '76 so the late 80's-now are the times I recall. Stattrax Posted October 13, 2015 Author Report Posted October 13, 2015 Jason Simon was a beast at LB during that season. Quote

NDOMAKONG Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 Would be an Interesting thread for PNG to name only the Nederland players and NED to name only pNg Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

From what I remember Kip was a below average QB.Post 90Sumrall offense/Mohica Defense Quote
olddadt49 Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 This made me think back and my favorite is not as much a player as a play. Does anyone remember the 80+ yard TD run that Troy Benjamin had to seal the win for the Dogs at the Reservation a few years back? Was less than 2 minutes left and that run put a knife in the heart of the ole Injuns. Makes me smile to this day! NDOMAKONG and KABrother 2 Quote

Spell and Robbins were better (post 90) . Probably best pre 90 qb that I can remember is our current basketball head coach. Quote
Stattrax Posted October 16, 2015 Author Report Posted October 16, 2015 At least I know a little Nederland trivia!!! Quote
GoDogs27 Posted October 16, 2015 Report Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) I'd say Nederland's best player was Price back in 2000. Wide left anyone?? :D Edited October 16, 2015 by GoDogs27 NDFan09 1 Quote

Brubaker Posted October 16, 2015 Report Posted October 16, 2015 McFarland was the QB that led Nederland to the playoffs in 88. You are thinking of Chris English, qb on the 89 football team... and a good one at that. Quote
