BMTSoulja1
Congrats to Nederland. I did see some mention about B. Faircloth getting out coached. I feel your pain. He did it to us last week, and I assume he did it to Matthews From Vidor and Suggs from Ozen....
CAL2TEX
New year..... same ole story. Not to take nothing away from the Bulldogs. Once again, they proved to be the better team in Mid County. 6 in a row. I think that pretty much sums it up.

ace2335
Way to hold them of Dawgs!!! I'd be the first to admit. I pick against the strong tradition of you guys taking out the Indians. Man was I wrong. Good job by a well rounded an solid team. Your district chip is well deserved!!
injun
Catch by number 10 at the end to set up field goal was clutch. He had a defender step for step with him, qb made a great throw receiver an unbelievable catch... Overall not a well played game by either team but a good" game". Shame someone had to lose. More of a shame it was my Indians Edited October 17, 2015 by injun
KABrother
Been going to this game since 2010 when I was dating my now wife who is a Nederland grad. Only game I missed was the 2012 game due to a death in the family but that has been the only game since 2010 that hasn't literally come down the last play. Some very memorable moments in the last 6 years. The 4th down stop against on Doty in 2010, the Troy Benjamin 85 yard TD run in 2011, the 4th down interception in the endzone in 2013, 4th down stop on Morse in 2014, and the Brindza FG last night. Growing up in a town of just 2500 people I was in awe the first time I witnessed 15,000 in a high school stadium and I still get chills every year...and I've only been a spectator for this thing! baddog
Dogs should have capitalized on PNG's early mistakes and could have had the 30 points in the first half. However, this is MCM and it is why this game is known outside the area. Was anyone able to see the PNG interception in the end zone? I thought it hit the ground from where i was. Did the ball stay on top of a player without hitting the ground and he scooped it off him? Only thing I can figure. The replay was not conclusive for me. Thanks. KABrother
Had an extra ticket so I had brought a friend of mine and warned him before the game that Nuemann would spend more time on the field that on the sideline...and boy he was chewing on the zebras all night. In my opinion some was warranted and some was probably him still frustrated on the other calls. Mayfield got called for 3 PIs I believe (may have just been 2 and the 3rd on someone else). One was in the back of the endzone on the 2 point try...thought that was a good call...even as a Ned fan. The one down the PN sideline on a deep pass was a good call I think because the contact was initiated before he turned to make a play on the ball (this is the one I think was Mayfield but not 100% sure). The 3rd was a terrible call...he had perfect inside position on the receiver and they they flagged him for it. The LT for PN-G held quite a few times when he got beat inside but nothing was called. The clock operator however was atrocious. On that last drive he ticked a second off the clock on a false start on Nederland (from 1:11 to 1:10), then the scramble and throw out of bounds before the FG. He didn't even wind the clock until the ball was in ther air. The officials huddled and got them to adjust the clock but it had to be complete guess work on their part. Nuemann was irate after the FG that only 2 seconds came off the clock but an attempt that close not much time would have come off...but if you add the 1 tick for the false start that was probably a wash. And these clock mistakes were just what I noticed at the end...no telling what was going on all game.My wife doesn't like that I am pretty blunt about officiating...if fans in the area think a call was blown but I think it's a good call I'll say it was the right call or if I couldn't see it I'll say I couldn't see it. My step dad was an official for several years so I typically look with a bit of a more neutral approach. baddog

Brubaker
The PI on Mayfield in the endzone appeared to be an atrocious call, he was looking at and playing the ball the entire time, he has every right as the receiver to go get it. Mayfield really stepped up and showed what kind of potential he has as a player in a big game tonight. Big time players make big plays to set the tone, he did that with his pick. He also hustled back on the interception where he slipped and made the tackled, getting a shot to the ribs in the process and came to the sideline to get checked out, then went right back in. He stepped up big time and competed all night long. Mr. Buddy Garrity, bigned85 and lovethegame19
Brubaker
I think the adjustments on defense are starting to pay off. We have gotten bigger on d-line and allowed Tran to move to Linebacker. This also moved Devries into that rover position that Nederland plays where he is in space making plays. The addition of the big soph. Wistner in the defensive backfield has also made a big difference, he is a playmaker and a hitter. Just a few tweaks and Nederland is starting to get it together defensively. Fresher d-line with a better pass rush and more turnovers. All anchored by an outstanding leader and playmaker as well, Jacob Jones. This defense will not shut teams down necessarily, but they are able to make more plays and get more turnovers. lovethegame19
Knoddy1
I think it would be a mistake to unload BF, all the games with the dogs have been tight, and could have easily gone either way, but if you good folks across the tracks are intent in replacing him I can give you the address of Mr. Bobby August. We of course declined, but if the clock stopped for the penalty, it sure happened fast. LOL! Any FG made with 4 seconds left should run out the clock. Ned showed lots of grit to make that last drive.....thanks to the late hit that gave us starting field position at the 50.

BIG SHOW
True Story! Last night PNG's LB #2 happens to see his coach in the fetal position sucking his thumb! So he runs over there an asked coach Klein(BF) you okay? He said i'm sorry i can't do it, coach Red Beaulieu(LN) stole my man hood. #2 asks what do you mean and how did this happen? He said it started 7 years ago when coach Red Beaulieu(LN) and I were coaching together. I was a play calling machine and coach Red was jealous of my success. So one night after a game he came and confronted me and took my little red play book. He then took a job somewhere "i didn't know of" and turned that program around. Then when I transferred to Port Neches, i had no idea i would be facing him across the side lines once a year. So now when I face him I don't have a clue of what to do! #2 says that's ridiculous, look coach you have a chance now to prove yourself, its 2 and goal from the 7, what do we do? Okay, EVERYBODY ON ME! Were going to double pump and triple fake a pass QB sneak.. NO NO were going to do a double reverse! (That has to develop 10 yards in the back field). Got it? Lets do it! As #17 and the offense says, with a confused look, okay i guess. After the play, back to the fetal position he went and #2 just walked away!
