They were in a weak region.I believe Big Sandy beat those guys in East Chambers tourney last year. Tyler Dixson 1 Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 @Matt_Stepp817: Abilene to Amarillo is a HAUL for Tuesday night games.... What the UIL does will be interesting@TylerISDSupt: @Matt_Stepp817 w Abilene/Amarillo & ETX/DFW/Houston '16-18 issues, wonder if this forces UIL to consider 5A split AND 6A split for '18-20?@Matt_Stepp817: @TylerISDSupt good question!! I think 5A for sure Anyone else think they'll split the big schools? Quote

Sounds crazy, but almost need a 7A or split big schools. Quote
Bobcatfan4life Posted November 1, 2015 Report Posted November 1, 2015 I would like to see 5A and 6A go split division to have consistency from 2A - 6A and adjust the amount of playoff teams to 3 (I know, going back to 3 wont happen). Not sure that split division is needed in 6-man. Prairie Lea from the San Marcos area is in High Island's district but Chester is not? robanadana 1 Quote

I think 5A for sure Anyone else think they'll split the big schools? Eventually they are going to split, but what happens out west this time around. Possibly only 10 schools, with Amarillo being close. Keep 5 team districts or merge them together to open another district. 1 Abilene school, 1 San Angelo school, 1 Amarillo school, 2 Odessa schools, 2 Midland schools, and 3 Lubbock schools. The only other option is to place Tascosa down in 5A. When Cy-Fair 11 joins 6A the mess is only going to get larger. 5A the biggest question is Dunbar again. If they don't opt, then Fort Worth is one district. If they do, then they force 2 districts. It may be possible to see Abilene Cooper come east and possibly Lake View. Leaving a district with Amarillo and Lubbock schools. I don't think anyone East of 35 should complain about traveling, except maybe High Island Lufkin and the Tyler schools.
