Wait a minute!! How is PNG ahead of Nederland when just two weeks ago, Nederland beat PNG at their stadium. PNG can't be ahead in the polls!

I agree, they should switch New Caney and PNG so that 21-5A could have 4 of the top 7 spots like we'll prove during bi-district. Nederland over PNG is the only quality win in that whole district.

Nederland should be banned from the rankings for a least 2 years for losing to GCM. They should have a negative ranking.

You are only good as your last game I guess . Eventually the field will take care of the rankings - just like it took care of PNG  again !

Looks pretty good just know last year at this point we weren't even close to the list so this isn't bad but wish we were up more.

welp, I guess WOS shall assume the top of the middle poll again.  Totally get why EC would be ranked 1 until losing this week but just seemed off that the Mustangs weren't 1 on that list.

I honestly haven't understood why they weren't number 1 all year. Not saying EC or Kirbyville isn't good but I believe WO-S to be the best in there state classification. Much less the local 4a-3a poll.

It's because 7 out of 11 voters believe you put an undefeated team from a lower class in front of a one loss team that would be a clear favorite if the two teams play.  Which if fine - the beauty of polls is there really is no magic answer as to how to rank the teams.  And it makes for great conversation.

I do believe that the bye at the end of the year hurts WOS chance of being number 1. Rank the teams by strength of schedule, margin of victories and I believe WOS should be number 1. Does having a undefeated season automatically give you number 1, it does not in college polls. imo

I would have too.  At the same time, totally understand voting EC first while they were undefeated and WOS wasn't.  I think you and I talked about this in basketball terms.  We are in the who would be beat whom camp of rankings.

WOS should go to the top this week. There's not a team around this area in 4A 3A that can beat them.

Yeah I especially like seeing Chester at #5 don't think I've ever seen that before. Being in the top five is great, love it.
