OU at 3 is kinda surprising

ND'S only loss is to the #1 team on the road by 2 points. OU lost to a 4-6 team on a neutral field. 

Common opponent- OU lost by 7 and Charlie got tossed in the air.  ND won by 35 and Charlie started the season over.

I thought about that, but remembered they are the least hated by Texas Tech's AD. If it was Baylor or TCU in the same predicament then Notre Dame would be in.

Last time I looked, OU is #1 in the FPI.  They also arguably have the most quality wins.  Having said that, ND does have the better loss and the common opponent.  To be honest, the team that should be left out with one loss is the one they won't have the balls to do it to.  But OU beat a common opponent with them by a larger margin (albeit small) on the road vs the other team getting them at home.  And although it wasn't this way when they scheduled them, Wisconsin is not a good win this year.

And FWIW, I have a feeling that OU will be the team that gets in that everyone complains about and that ends up winning it all.  Sound familiar?  I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about it.

I wonder if the committee won't try to find a way to make that the title game.  I could see Michigan St winning the Big 10 and jumping to 3.

Another interesting point is that the Cotton Bowl is hosting a semi which would basically be a home game for OU.  If Clemson stay at 1 and OU falls to 4, the game would be at the Orange Bowl.  Every other scenario has OU playing at JerryWorld.
