Wrong, Cam.  Ozen's Comeaux plays much bigger than his size.  Also, Pearson has excellent ball handles, which is why he will be playing mostly PG in college.  Atwood is a pretty good 3 point shooter..  He just don't take them often.  But I guarantee you that his 3 pt. Percentage is about 40%.

Comeaux will out rebound most guys 5 inches taller than him.

I don't know what Central team you've been watching, but that kid ain't a PG Lol, and the only team I've seen with worse shooters was Silsbee

He's been the best playmaker on a loaded Central squad for 4 years now.  You're pg is usually your best playmaker because he has the ball most of the time.  Say what you say, but this kid will definitely be playing more PG in college.  And you missed what I said.  Atwood can shoot, he just don't shoot much.  We're not discussing better shooting team.  That's not what we're debating....

WTH, the heartbeat of that Team was Dominique. Actually the Best Playmaker is the Lamar signee, your Coaches handcuffed that kid. Turn him loose & it opens up things for everyone else

Dominique was a good player.  A very streaky player.  He can play big, but also in some games, he turns the ball over at a rapid pace.  Lamar signee will be turned alose this year...  New coach will show you how it's done.

Texas State signee is a very good player, never saw PG skills is all I'm saying, but I'm not a Coach, nor a scout

He takes the rebound, goes coast to coast, always makes the best play on the fast break.  Can finish at the cup, great body control.  Has the flip shot, the floater, tear drop, hardly ever turns the ball over.  Plays great defense in the ball.  Sounds like great of skills to me.  His only weakness to his game is the 3 point shot.

But when he has the ball in his hands, it's normally going to be a positive play coming up.

Since we seem to be moving this to a Central vs Ozen discussion, I think shooting from the perimeter won't be the deciding factor. Although Cody and Arceneaux will the best shooters on the floor, defense will determine the outcome. Central has a lot of length to try and pass around. And if you take it to the cup, the Nigerian nightmare will greet you at the door. And every one that thinks Parish or any other big is going to draw him out on the perimeter is wrong. They aren't shooting threats from outside. He will camp out in the paint.

I'm saying you don't want your guards as your main team  rebounders.

Don't think Soulja was saying that Comeaux was one of the main rebounders. Just saying that he can get up there with the bigs and bang a little. One of those intangibles. As for players being in shape, I have seen a lot of kids that cant make it through a game without 4 or 5 rests...no matter how much we run them. And some kids just naturally have the motor to go and go.

JMO but cross country is for duration but honestly has nothing to with basketball...i think the things needed to be worked on have to be done within those 4 lines ..I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH RUNNING THE TRACK but basketball is stop and go change of  many directions and i think kids need that work on a basketball court ..

I'm so glad that SOMEONE understood.  I was running out of ways to reword that...

    • Ok. Here me out. I hate generalizing but bear with me.    this has always been my issue with the Double Wing T / Slot T / Wing T.    it’s not that it’s not a good offensive scheme it actually is very good.    That type of offense is absolutely brutal to not only the running back and the quarterback, but also the lineman. To complicate things even further most of your athletes on offense, skill players will be playing on defense where they will get the majority of the contact.    By the time the player gets to mid third-quarter or fourth, the skill players are completely exhausted from running up to middle and being tackled every 3 yards x 6 people on top of them and then have to turn around and run and chase the other offense down.    Cold spring running back was absolutely destroying the line of scrimmage, gaining 3/4 yards at a time and he did that for about 50/60 yards and his body just gave out he was probably exhausted because he probably played 70 to 80% of all the place. Playing 80% of the plays on both offense or defense is completely different at running back then at wide receiver like Travis Hunter.     all this to say is the running of the wing T double wing T slot T is OK for liberty Hill because they have 5/6 running backs that are just as good as the starter but even two years ago injury caused them to lose a very big game, by a lot of points against PNG     even though Orangefield‘s running back had 34 carries the majority of those carries were out on the flank and where he was only tackled by a few players, whereas Coldsprings  running backs were tackled by five or six of Orangefield players, and that wears a kids body down   None of what I’m saying is science all I’m saying is based off the last 14 years of seeing Orangefield run that kind of often it took a toll on running backs for the last 12 years the only one I can think that did not get hurt during his career was The kid that got 2,000 in a season.
    • What a tough 5A district with 4 teams ranked in the top 20. Should be fun to see it play out.
    • Y’all need to stop ragging on Weak Brook and instead send them all the positive energy that you can so that they can become Strong Brook and beat New Baytown on Nov 8. BTW, for those who don’t know, nothing irritates a Mont Belvieu/Barber’s Hill resident more than calling their town “New Baytown” and their High School “New Baytown High”.  I’ve already got an Old Man in my inbox on here mad because I slandered his precious team.  Just thought I’d mention it since we’re discussing school nicknames and stuff like that.
    • Until he spent $8.5 trillion and ignited the rampant inflation that is finally somewhat getting under control lol Short term gain, long term pain (and let the other guy deal with it, classic) P.S. - USA produces more oil now than ever before
