Ik its not Tuesdays but I have the Scouting Report after watching Film (Hudl) on Wharton.

Offense. Wharton spreads you out. and capable of making big plays with there athletic WR Core. They have speed and athletes as well. Wos team speed is faster IMO. Wharton passing attack is alot of timing routes. This game will be won in the trenches, and Wharton Online is suspect.  IMO I think WOS d-line will cause havoc and beat Wharton too the point of attack and WOS Secondary gonna have to keep tight coverage on Wharton WR and disrupt there timing. Wharton WR don't do a great job of running routes nor blocking on run plays. Wharton have 2 good running backs but #2 is the better one. He does a great job of finding holes and fighting for extra years. But ik Wharton haven't seen a defense like the Chain Gang. That does a great job of tackling and flying to the football.

Defense. Wharton D-line is big but don't do a good job of winning at the point of attack. Wharton best asset is there MLB #30. He does a great job of reading his keys but he take plays off. WOS gonna have to keep a body on him. Wharton does a great job at pursuiting the football but they don't do a great job tackleing well as a team. Wharton likes to play a lot of man coverage. I just don't see them being able to man up the PYP Crew of WOS. They gonna have to Pick There Posion..... Lol .... Also Wharton punter doesn't do a good job of punting the football. So its a must WOS make them go 3 and out.  If WOS wins all or 2 phases of the game I see WOS winning by 21+. Imo as a whole Wharton is not a discipline team.

There you have it from my point of view and flim study.

KJD, I'm a HUDL junkie myself. Welcome to "Hudl Fans Anonymous." Lol.

Wharton does have an advantage in the kicking game. Their placekicker puts it deep and they are effective with FGs and PATs. It's the part of the game where I wish WO-S had more success.

The Wharton secondary is vulnerable. Notice how far their DBs play off the WRs...8-12 yards back. It's like that in every game I've watched them on film. They dodged a bullet against LaGrange. LG had three potential passing TDs - one was dropped, one was overthrown, and one INT. LG would have won if not for that, but they are terrible at pass and catch. They had open receivers in the slot and in the middle of the field every time they attempted to throw. Mr. Dallas could have a big night Friday if this trend continues.

Griff, your right on about the place kicker and PAT. That's the only phase of the game i gave them the advantage. We want them to kick it deep too Hancock or Miller. They don't respect our return game, but we gonna make them respect it. Miller or Hancock due too take one too the house for 6. If they play us man to man JD3 and The PYP Crew gonna have a field day. Wharton DC better be good at making adjustment in a timely matter as the game goes on. If not its gonna be a long night for Wharton and there Secondary. Imo they rely on there speed alot but they haven't face a team with as much overal speed WOS has.

Been a while since we faced a team running the spread or throwing a lot.  Be different from all the Slot T offenses they see in district.

An interesting side note about Wharton. Their worst loss was giving up 39 points to Bellville...a team that runs the Slot T. It makes me think that Wharton might not make the playoffs in our district. All you see is Slot T, or a similar scheme, from every team in this district with the exception of WO-S.

If we play like we usually do we should win by 2 TDs minimum.  What scares me is that we've had it easy the last six weeks.  Wharton will be by far the best team we've faced since Foster.  Some ratings have them #7 in the State.  This week will be tougher than next week if we make it through IMO.
