How did this years season measure up to the past?

I voted worse than last year because in number of kills, it was not as good. I think that maybe it was one of the more fun seasons that I had. I just didn't get a chance to go out as much due to a change in my work schedule. Kills were down but it was fun and interesting... especially the snow in south Texas.

Yeah, snow in South Texas. You would have had a better chance at winning the lottery.

No kidding. I make for me what is a chance in a lifetime hunt, go to within 25 miles of the Mexican border.... and get snowed on. Go figure.

TVC, I clocked the distance from the ranch you hunted to my gate - 19.7 miles. I went down this week end and built another feeder pin and put out 2500 lbs of Purina Antlermax 20.  We have 25 - 2000 lb protein feeders going right now - thats alot of work !

I am sure that it helps a lot with the results but it sure is a lot of work in the mean time.    :-\ Wow.

i said worst ever...i seen a sum total of 4 deer this year and thats hunting all through out bow season and rifle season...last year i seen at 6 or 7 deer on opening day...i had a bad year.

in kirbyville on 5000 acres of temple land...its a great lease with really great deer i just didnt see no deer my dad had seen a buck that he claims to be the biggest buck in setx but you know how that goes, everyone had pictures of nice 8 points and great 10 points on there trail cam but i guess when it came to deer around my stand they didnt want to come! ???

I understand the point but we see deer all the time during the season on our lease near Colmesneil.  I hunt fairly thick woods much of the time with very limited visibility and almost always see deer during the season. Then again, we don't shoot everytime we see fur.

im not really shure how many deer were taken but i know that it was no where as many as the past years
