Here are the Houston/Beaumont area teams ranked in this week's TGCA polls from Austin:

6A:

2)  Cy Woods (3-1) lost to North Shore in Gander Classic Finals.   Led by 6'3" soph Catherine Reese (22 ppg), 5'10" Jasmine Wiliams (18 ppg and Texas A&M commit) and 6'9" senior Nancy Mulkey (Univ Oklahoma commit).

6) Houston Westside (5-1) lost to Katy Tompkins in SBISD championship. Led by 5'6" senior PG Sentreal Gregory averaging 17 pts/game.

10) North Shore (5-0) won Gander Classic.  Led by 5'5" Jr PG Chasity Patterson and 6'2" Sr Alyssa Okoene.

5A:

3) Bryan Rudder - eliminated Barbers Hill in playoffs last year, advanced to State semis

6) Barbers Hill - led by 6'4" soph Charli Collier; advanced to Region 3 semis last year

8) Lumberton (4-0) - won Hardin Jeff Toast of the Coast tourney, with key returnees in Sr Holt, Jr Sellers, and Soph Wilkinson and several talented newcomers including a talented freshman class with a handful on varsity.  Advanced to Region 3 semis last year losing to A&M Consolidated.

9) Brenham (2-0)
