Still, it's this lack of jobs in the U.S. — not family ties — that is mostly motivating Mexicans to leave, said Dowell Myers, a public policy professor at the University of Southern California. Construction is a huge draw for young immigrants, but has yet to approach the levels of last decade's housing boom, he said.

"It's not like all of a sudden they decided they missed their mothers," Myers said. "The fact is, our recovery from the Great Recession has been miserable. It's been miserable for everyone."

 

If the democrats get the White House in 2016, the illegals may be gone in 4 years...who would have thought democrat's policies may be more effective than Trump's proposed wall.

What I can gleam from this is that no matter the numbers that are put on the evening news about how great the recovery is, apparently many aliens (legal and illegal) cannot find work even considering that many do under the table work for lesser pay. 

You can put what you want for stats in the media but fudging the numbers does not create work.

That's because the "recovery" is not what it is represented to be.  The Dems are hanging their hats on the unemployment rate but never disclose how many of those "new jobs" are part time.

There is also the possibility that a large number of those crossing into Mexico are Americans looking for work.  Just saying.

nor do they disclose how many have dropped out of the workforce (stopped looking "officially") which drives the unemployment numbers down even more.
