Artificial turf may be laid down for these tryouts so please make sure you have proper running gear for both turf and grass.**Registration Fee: $50.00Each Player will receive an Official Beaumont Drillers T-Shirt.What to Expect: Players will be timed in the 40 yard dash and the 20 yard shuttle. The field is artificial turf and is played on a 50 yard field surrounded by a padded wall. It is not uncommon for scores to reach the 60s and 70s in the NIFL. While on offense there are 3 linemen, 1 QB, 1 RB and 3 WRs. Forward motion is allowed in the NIFL. Defense play consists of 3 linemen, 1 Linebacker, and 4 DBs All kicks are live ball and there are no punts in the NIFL. FG’s are returnable for Touchdowns if missed. This is a fast paced, intense game designed to be high impact and high scoring.About the Beaumont Drillers: The Beaumont Drillers are now in the 5th season in Beaumont Texas after relocating the team from Alexandria, La. Kyle Mackey, a former NFL Quarterback, will return as the coach for the Beaumont Drillers who are coming off back to back playoff appearances. The Beaumont Drillers play their home games in Ford Park Arena are a members of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL). The Beaumont Drillers are made up of local athletes who have played high school, college, and even pro football. Several different Southeast Texas communities are represented by members of the Beaumont Drillers including Orange, Beaumont, Pt. Arthur, Lumberton, Silsbee, Houston, Lufkin, and Mid-County.
