I watched that Patterson kid last year and man oh man....he play's like a guard in a big man body he probably had the most dunks in the tourney.

It's 1 game at a time that 31and our first state championship loss 1 is still hanging over Silsbee's school this team needs to bring and display the heart of a champion I believe dontre and the rest of the tigers will bring leadership , fire, and winning experience from the football field to the basketball court we are all ready to see our tigers Win it all I hope the can get it done it will be tough but the depth will be the key to this state title run good luck tigers basketball and football #thepursuitcontinues

I would be more worried if the PG was back. He was the one that made them go last year. IMO, he was their best player and us media members got it right by naming him the MVP in championship game.

First off.. of course UIL ruled him eligible.  Smith was/is exceptional no doubt but Patterson has a motor like no other big I've seen in high school. The fact that he can step out and knock down 3s, pretty elite level talent.  Patterson had like 25 pts and 15 rebounds in the Champ game I think and pretty much neutralized Sterlings's big who was key to their run.  Both probably deserving of the MVP but as far as being more or less worried, Patterson presents a matchup nightmare that few in 4A can match.  Smith is a guard, Silsbee's loaded with guys to throw at a good PG.  Still not much for #1 to worry about though.
