Heading down to Beaumont Friday for the Navasota/Carthage game.  One of my favorite places to eat in the area was Esters at the foot of the Rainbow Bridge but didn't it close or burn or got hurricane damage or something?  If so, where else in the area do you recommend?  Ive eaten at Sartins a lot so not there.  Suggestions appreciated.....

We have Pappadeaux's in Dallas, maybe a non chain place.  There was some place I ate at a couple of years ago that was out in the middle of no where towards La Belle or something.

Have you tried the place in Central Mall. They have some good Gumbo also and a little closer. And he must be from PA. I saw him making Titan mums for homecoming this season.

Seafood....Floyd's....coming in on I10 from Houston, take College St. exit and loop back under freeway. Stay on access road.

Coming from Lamar up Cardinal Dr., take the Washington Blvd. exit. Take a left at the light and it's right there.
