TxHoops Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 San Augustine continues to impress. That's a 4A regional team they just beat ;) Quote
mistanice Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 Jamarcus Polk and one other I was told. Polk sat the bench for some unknown reason. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted December 16, 2015 Report Posted December 16, 2015 I attended this one. Very ugly game. Probably wasn't 7 free throws made between the two teams on at least 35 attempts. According to the book and coach, Diboll was without 1 starter (Polk). He was suited out but sat the bench.Neither team shot the ball well and both had 24+ turnovers. San Augustine crashed the boards very well. Out rebounded Diboll by 15+. To me this was the difference in the game. Also, SA half court offense is much better than Diboll's. After SA adjusted to getting back on defense to eliminate the fast break, Diboll struggled on offense. Shot the three ball horribly (7%) Diboll has a lot to work on if it wants to be in regional tourney. San Augustine will be a threat in Region III. They can cause some match up problems with their athleticism and the way they hit the boards, particularly on the offensive end. Going to keep my eye on these guys the rest of the season. Quote
