Gee we almost had an HJ / WOS thread going here. WOS has a team full of athletes and Coach Hancock will have them looking like a different club as district play goes on.I'm not sure how many of these guys played football.

how was the guard play of WOS? I know they had great guard play in the past with Earl, Rutledge and my baby cousin Marquest. 

You really not gonna name the best guard? Lol But it is solid. Not bad, not great. It is essentially 4 guards and a tall wing that will play at all times. I hoop with Quest sometimes and he's still got it!

Gettin minutes. He will be a key player for the program going forward. He is still technically a freshman because he was awarded a medical redshirt. He is playing as mostly a matchup defender.

Texas schools wiffed on not offering him. I don't mean UT, etc. But all the smaller schools could use him.

Good point.  Everyone knows that HJ has full control of the referees and what calls they decide to make.

Yes, alley oops are always nice...  During the Ozen/Episcopal game, one of the shorter Ozen players caught a mid court lob and flushed it with 2 hands...

The one glaring change I have noticed this year in the officiating is the number of touch fouls or hand checking fouls. They draw a quick whistle every time but they let the kids grab, push and wrestle before the ball is inbounded. Very little consistency this year in those calls.

KJ had 14 points if not mistaken. Football boys returned without having a single practice. Even with the return of the football boys HJ is the better Team.

Y'all will be fine. I don't see y'all missing the playoffs.  At this point I think it's Silsbee,HJ,LCM and WOS. Although 3rd isn't completely out of the question. Good luck!
