Those games listed above are all winners bracket games. Didn't see all final scores but Chireno beat Sabine 55/25. Sabine only scored 5 points in second half. Tenaha beat Kountze by about 50. Winnsboro beat broaddus 83-19. Elysian Fields beat Carthage by 30. White oak just got by slocum. Lipan beat Martinsville 67-41. Lapoynor beat millers grove. Lapoynor up 20 at half. Not sure of final

Lapoynor has a sophomore guard that is as good as any guard in the state regardless of classification. Real special player. She will keep them relevant for the next two years for sure. Big time D1 prospect

If Lipan wins that's why. I saw one of the teams in their district today, Gordon, beat a fellow 1A team that will win their district easily and should go 2 or 3 rounds deep. Lipan will be favored over Gordon by 50.

That's her. She averaged 30 last year in an area where girls teams score 40-50 points so it doesn't seem that surprising if a team tries to make them run like east Texas teams do.  Shooting is natural for the area. Scariest part is that 10 miles north of 60 student Lipan is 350 student Brock. Both are at state every year.

chireno lost to Tenaha 53-50  in third place game.  no excuses, just got outplayed by a very good team.  didn't help that we missed 17 FT.

Lapoynor took it to lipan in finals winning 62-52.  Lapoynor guard and Lipan guard scored 27 each but other four lapoynor kids outplayed four lipan kids. Good chance  you can see both teams in the same gym again in san Antonio this year.  My opinion Lipan is in.  Lapoynor has a tougher road.  That region is fairly deep.  Teams that could upset Lapoynor include Hubbard, Evadale, Cushing and Tenaha.  Just one man's opinion
